Wrestlemania Comes To Tampa By Kaitlyn Grayson
Recently, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced the location for Wrestlemania 36, which will be in Tampa on Sunday April 5, 2020, at the Raymond James Stadium.
The event will bring other events along with it. On Friday and Saturday, there will be a “Takeover” pay-per-view event from their NXT brand, and a Hall of Fame ceremony honoring wrestlers from the past. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be special post-Wrestlemania episodes of Monday Night Raw and Tuesday Night Smackdown Live. There are also events during the week where fans can meet some of the wrestlers and buy merchandise.
If you are not familiar with the WWE, Wrestlemania is the biggest event in all of pro-wrestling. It has been held annually every year for 35 years and counting. People hope to see some former top stars return, like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena, while seeing some of the current top stars, like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, and a former UFC champion, Ronda Rousey. Tickets are not available at the moment, but tend to be up to hundreds or thousands of dollars, depending on if you sit up higher in the “nosebleed” seats, or ringside, right next to all of the wrestlers.
Having WWE’s biggest pay-per-view event in Tampa will bring many people from all over to the Sunshine State to see it. Just like WWE’s most recent Wrestlemania (Wrestlemania 35), there will be thousands of people in attendance from all over the world. The rush of people to Florida for the events can bring many benefits to other places in Florida, like the increase in tourism to help them make more money.
As of right now, no matches have been announced for the events. But we look forward to watching it!
