Rifles Flags and Sabers, Oh My!
This year’s Colorguard team has made it to Championships! All 14 girls have worked incredibly hard this season and it has paid off tremendously. On the night of April 6th the girls had their very last winter guard competition. All of the late-night practices, the work in class, and the many performances before were all leading up to the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit Championships. All teams that participated in FFCC were present that night. All classes, ranging from triple A’s to Cadets, were all in rows on the floor for awards. Each team had very creative accessories to add to their uniform. Many had several glow sticks, headbands, capes, and other fun attachments. Lake Gibson participated in awards, being placed top three out of their Class B division. This means Lake Gibson is now given the chance to move to Class A. These girls have put in so much effort so this accomplishment is dear to their hearts.
